Overview
HostMonitor licenses are sold through Paddle, our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Paddle handles billing, tax remittance, and refund processing on our behalf. The Microsoft Store distributes the free trial of the application but does not handle license purchases.
14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a full refund within 14 days of your original license purchase, for any reason. You do not need to provide a justification, though we welcome feedback so we can improve the product.
The refund window starts on the date of purchase as recorded by Paddle.
How to Request a Refund
You can request a refund in either of these ways:
- Email us at [email protected] with the email address you used at checkout, your Paddle order number (from your receipt), and a brief note. We will initiate the refund with Paddle on your behalf.
- Contact Paddle directly using the link on the receipt Paddle emailed you after purchase, or via Paddle's buyer support.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing typically completes within 3–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
After the 14-Day Window
Refund requests received after the 14-day window are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We will generally grant a refund if the App is materially defective and we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe. To report a defect, please contact [email protected] first so we can attempt to help.
What a Refund Includes
A refund cancels the license and returns the full purchase amount, including any taxes Paddle collected on our behalf. After a refund is processed, the associated license key is deactivated and the App will revert to trial mode on devices where the key was applied.
Free Trial
The free trial distributed through the Microsoft Store is provided at no cost. No payment is collected and no refund applies.
Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws. EU and UK customers retain their statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under distance selling regulations; this guarantee meets or exceeds that requirement. Where local law grants you broader refund or cancellation rights, those rights apply.
Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us or Paddle first — we resolve almost every issue quickly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in your license being permanently revoked, and we may decline future purchases from accounts associated with the chargeback.
Changes to This Policy
This Refund Policy may be updated over time. The current version will always be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Purchases are governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
